Miami Fashion Week 2007
Miami Fashion Week, due to commence from April 13 – 16, 2007, is the official fashion event of Miami Beach and Miami Dade County besides being the most dazzling Latin American fashion event in the US.
The show will showcase the spring 2007 collections of over 50 international designers from a bouquet of countries including North, South and Central America, India, Italy and Spain. Among the new and established exciting designers, the Miami Fashion Week will see Special Guest and recipient of the Designer of the Year Award, Hemant Sagar for Lecoanet. Others featuring in the MFW 2007 will include Arentina’s Veronica de la Canal, Columbia’s Jeronima Palacio and Cecilia Perez, Miami’s Nicolas Felizola and Julian Chang, and Spain’s Maria LaFuente among others.
Students of AI Miami International University of Art and Design, and Universidad Autonoma Del Caribe from Barranquilla (Columbia) will also showcase their talents. India’s jewelry designers Suhani Pittie and Chandi Munjal, Columbia’s Catalina de la Torre, and Costa Rica’s Ana Maria Gulierrez will participate in the Jewelry & Accessories Exhibition at the MFW.
The event excitedly being looked forward to will have a host of celebrity attendants including Candela Ferro, Pilar Montenegro, Poncho de Anda, Susana Gonzalez, and Sergio Catalan. The event will include international business and trends seminars and VIP after parties at some of the hottest venues in town.
