The undisputed king of the Fashion industry, Italian fashion designer Valentino, is all set to bid adios to the fashion world this week.  An era of fashion world will come to an end, with the last show of Valentino, in Paris this week. The 75-year-old fashion designer has been ruling the fashion industry since last 45 years.   He is the favourite designer of those who walk the red carpet looking like Goddesses.  

The who’s who of the fashion industry and Hollywood stars are expected to attend Valentino’s last show in Paris. The fashion enthusiasts are also eager to see magic of Valentino last time on the catwalk.   He will present his spring-summer haute couture on Wednesday in the final show of Paris Fashion week, where the labels like Chanel, Christian Dior and Giorgio Armani have presented their collection. Valentino, a designer of the rich and famous, is a very rich man himself, as he owns a chateau near Paris, a 46 metre yacht and a very expensive art collection. Valentino will also be missed by the actresses, who love to flaunt their Valentino gowns during prestigious awards ceremonies, like golden globe and Oscars. Last July, Valentino celebrated his 45 years in fashion industry, by throwing a fabulous three day party in Rome. Valentino will also be awarded with honorary citizen award in Paris by the French Government. Earlier, he has also received the Legion d’Honneur by the French Government.  Expect a wonderful last show by Valentino.

Beyonce and her husband rapper Jay-Z attended couple of shows in the Men’s Fashion Week recently. The couple saw the Versace show from the front seat. However, controversies never leave the celebrities. It has been said that, as Beyonce and Jay Z’s arrival was a surprise, the seats were not reserved for them on the front row. So, in order to make place for them in the front row, the Bergdorf Goodman’s fashion director of men’s wear, Tommy Fazio, was asked to leave his seat at the front row. It has been reported that Fazio was not at all happy with the way he was asked to leave his seat for Beyonce. Rumors are that Fazio has also refused to buy anything from Versace’s collection and has even cancelled his upcoming showroom appointment.  

It is also being said that Beyonce and Jay Z were not happy with the unavalibality of VIP room at the GQ party. Beyonce is not the only one who attended the fashion show in the Milan Fashion Week. Spice Girls showed up for Cavalli’s show but they were only criticised for their weird fashion sense. Anyways, the designers do get benefit from the presence of the stars in their shows.  If celebrities attend a designer’s show than he is a big shot otherwise, he is just like any other designer. But the truth is that some celebrities visit these shows just for the publicity.

Models wearing red, white and black designer bikinis and gowns walked the ramp during the 2008 Collins Stewart London boat show on Friday. The fashion show, organised on the opening day of the London Boat show, became the main attraction of the show. It was organised on Fairline main stage in the London Boat Show. According to the organisers 7,997 visitors came to see the show on the opening day, which is 3000 less than last years. Friday was the press and preview day for the London boat show. The show was officially opened by a master of ceremonies alongside two VIP guests. “Three men in a boat” star Griff Rhys Jones and Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, world’s first single-handed global circumnavigator, inaugurated the show by cutting the ribbon side by side. The National Boat shows organizers and the division of the British Marine Federation predicted a low turn out for the London Boat show this year in comparison to last year. However, Rob Stevens, CEO of the BMF, announced that the advance ticket sale for the rest of the show this year is 10 % ahead of last year.   The thing, that is worrying the organisers most, is that the non boating stuff like fashion show, jewellery, back massagers, cosmetics etc are attracting more crowd than the boats. For example, the fashion show which attracted more media persons and visitors than the boats. May be the organisers should concentrate on making designer boats, that might attract the visitors attraction.

The company has launched these weapons in order to attract its women consumers. Some women, specially the ones who work late night, like to keep weapons like stun gun for their safety. The weapons can be used to stun the person, who attacks on you, for few minutes giving you time to escape or call for help. The Tasers think that fashion conscious women hesitate to keep these weapons because of their tough and boring look therefore they have launched the weapons in the soft pink shades and beautiful leather prints. However, women seem divided over the weapons. Some women feel that colour of the weapon does not matter to them as far as it works properly.
